The Annual General Meeting for Bedfordshire Beekeepers is to be held on:
Saturday 25th February 2012
Flitwick Village Hall
Meeting starts at 10.30am
Lunch from 12 noon to 2pm
(please note, if you wish to purchase lunch on site, you will need to pre-order from Val Hill valhill@waitrose.com)
2pm The Afternoon Speaker is Celia Davies
There will be the usual range of stalls at the meeting:
Association Trading Wax Foundation, Frames & Equipment, Jars and Lids, Honey buckets as per the price list. Please pre-order boxes of jars from the stockists. Note any large orders will be available to collect from lunchtime onwards.
Wax Purchase Scheme Bring your clean rendered wax which will be converted into foundation for sale by the Association. Richard Smith will give you up to £1.30/lb depending on condition. We need over 1000lb to pay for the foundation order.
Library All books/DVD’s should be returned to Ray Smith prior to or at the AGM.
Second Hand Stall The Association will sell your second hand items. Please mark your items with name and price and give to Sue or Danny Lang on the day.
Raffle Any donations of prizes should be brought along on the day. All proceeds to Beekeeping Student in Ghana (see Harry Inman’s DVD at end of morning session)
L.E. Services (Thorne’s)Jenny Ellison will be selling beekeeping equipment.
Bees Abroad Claire Waring will have a stall showing the activities of this organisation.
Bee Suits Biana Gale will display a selection of bee suits for sale.
Beebase See how log into Beebase and see the benefits it has for beekeepers.
Membership / Bee Magazines You can re-join on the day if you haven’t already sent off your subs. Note, any members joining after the AGM will not be able to get the bee publications through the association.
Beds BKA Branded Clothing Order Forms will be available to send off for the Association branded Polo Shirts, jumpers and fleeces.
